Quick actions (Plus menu).
The blue floating + button in the bottom-right corner of every screen: notes, phone-call triage, service requests and reminders — without leaving the page you're on.
The four tools
| Tool | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Quick note | Jot down a note or to-do. Saved to your personal task list and surfaced in the Plus menu for quick access. |
| Phone call | Log inbound calls in real time — caller, property, notes and follow-up actions — while the rest of Dwell stays open underneath. |
| Service request | Raise a maintenance request instantly. On a complex page it opens the form pre-filled with that property; elsewhere, search for the property first. |
| Reminder | Set a follow-up reminder with a due date, or mark it FYI to log it without alerts. Perfect for call-backs. |
Notes, reminders, call logs and tasks are private to you — your personal workload, not shared with the building.
Phone call triage, step by step
Click Phone call from the Plus menu. A floating popup appears with a live timer.
Enter the caller's name and attach a property by searching the directory.
The popup stays open while you browse Dwell to look up records — switch tabs, open the complex page, check levies, whatever you need.
Take notes in the call-notes field as you talk.
Click End call. The “What's next?” panel appears — choose an action:
- Draft a maintenance request — creates a pre-filled request from your call notes.
- Create a task — logs a to-do in your list.
- Set a reminder — pick a follow-up date, or mark as FYI only.
The call is saved to your log, complete with duration, outcome, property reference and notes.
Your open items
The Plus menu also lists your five most recent open tasks and reminders. Click the checkbox next to any item to mark it done on the spot — a lightweight way to stay on top of the day without opening a separate task manager.
Phone rings → + → Phone call → attach property → notes → End call → “Draft a maintenance request” → dispatch later from the Maintenance tab.
